India, March 12 -- Aluminium prices on Thursday increased nearly 1.35 per cent to Rs 353.35 per kg in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX), aluminium contracts for April delivery rose by Rs 4.70, or 1.35 per cent, to Rs 353.35 per kilogram, with 113 lots traded.

Analysts said the rise in aluminium futures was mainly driven by fresh buying by traders, supported by steady demand from consuming industries.
