India, Oct. 6 -- Aluminium futures prices edged higher on Tuesday, supported by fresh buying from traders and a positive trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium contracts for October delivery rose Rs 1.85, or 0.55%, to Rs 340.35 per kg, with a business turnover of 566 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise to fresh positions created by traders amid steady demand from consuming industries.
