India, Aug. 27 -- Aluminium futures prices fell Rs 1.45 to Rs 342.90 per kg on Thursday, pressured by weak demand in the spot market and reduced positions by market participants.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium contracts for September delivery declined Rs 1.45, or 0.42%, to Rs 342.90 per kg, with a business turnover of 659 lots.

Analysts said easing demand from consuming industries and a weak trend in the spot market prompted participants to trim their positions, weighing on aluminium futures.
