India, Feb. 12 -- Aluminium prices rose nearly 0.24 per cent to Rs 318.20 per kg in futures trade on Thursday, tracking a firm trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX), aluminium contracts for March delivery gained 75 paise, or 0.24 per cent, to Rs 318.20 per kg, with a turnover of 25 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise to fresh positions built by traders, supported by demand from consuming industries.
