Bangladesh, July 17 -- ecently, I saw a pamphlet published by the Islamic Foundation which states that Bangladesh is home to 350,465 mosques, with 71,596 located within the Dhaka division alone. This is an immense number. Consider the demographics: with Muslims making up roughly 90% of the population, if we assume Muslim males account for approximately half of the entire population, we have an estimated 8 crore male worshippers. Dividing this population by the total number of mosques reveals a fascinating ratio: approximately one mosque for every 228 people.
