Dhaka, Sept. 12 -- Bangladesh and Bhutan share a special relationship. Bhutan was the first country in the world to recognize the independence of Bangladesh in 1971. On the morning of 6 December 1971, the King of Bhutan sent a telegram to the Government of Bangladesh announcing that "we have great pleasure in recognizing Bangladesh as a sovereign independent country.
