Pakistan, June 8 -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated Armenia on its parliamentary election and urged stronger European Union engagement. He described Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's victory as a test of the EU's commitment to Armenia. The comments underscore growing geopolitical competition over the South Caucasus region.

In a message posted on X, Zelenskyy praised Armenia for conducting what he called democratic and free elections. He also congratulated Pashinyan and his Civil Contract party on securing victory. According to Zelenskyy, the outcome reflected Armenia's sovereignty, independence, and right to determine its own future.
