Pakistan, Sept. 5 -- More than 60 people have died in clashes between Yemen's government forces and Houthi rebels. The fighting took place in southwestern Yemen, according to reports. The latest violence has caused heavy casualties among both sides.
French news reports said 26 government soldiers died during the fighting. Houthi sources also confirmed the deaths of 31 of their fighters. The reported figures put the total number of deaths above 60.
The clashes involved government forces and Houthi fighters in southwestern parts of Yemen. Both sides suffered significant losses during the confrontation. The fighting has added to the continuing violence in the country.
