Pakistan, Dec. 12 -- Pakistan's weekly inflation fell slightly by 0.03 percent, the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reported on Friday. The country's overall annual inflation rate now stands at 3.90 percent. During the week, prices of 12 essential items rose, 10 items became cheaper, and 29 remained stable.
Chicken prices rose 6.19 percent, while wheat increased by 2.88 percent over the week. Eggs became 0.93 percent more expensive, and cooking oil, ghee, and moong dal also saw price hikes, PBS said.
On the other hand, tomatoes dropped 16.18 percent and sugar fell 4.91 percent. Onion prices declined 4.08 percent, and potatoes became 1.71 percent cheaper, helping ease household expenses.
