BEIJING, May 26 -- Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met Pakistan's Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir in Beijing on Monday, reaffirming the longstanding strategic partnership between the two countries.

During the meeting, Wang Yi welcomed the visit of the Pakistani military chief and praised the Pakistan Army's role in strengthening bilateral cooperation between Islamabad and Beijing. He said the friendship between China and Pakistan had remained "rock-solid and unbreakable" despite changing regional and international circumstances.
