Pakistan, Jan. 12 -- Vietnam has introduced new digital advertising regulations that will limit long, unskippable video advertisements on platforms such as YouTube to just five seconds. Consequently, the rules aim to restore viewer control over online content consumption starting February 15, 2026.

Under the updated framework, all video and moving image advertisements must become skippable after five seconds, while platforms are also barred from delaying the closure of static ads. Moreover, the measures apply broadly across online platforms operating within Vietnam's digital space.
