Pakistan, June 22 -- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir held a key meeting with US Vice President JD Vance in Zurich on Sunday, as part of ongoing crucial US-Iran talks.

The meeting was also attended by US envoy Steve Witkoff and former US presidential adviser Jared Kushner. Vance has said that he hopes for additional progress in the coming hours during the talks with Iran, as he praised the Pakistani leadership for their mediatory role.

Standing alongside the leadership of Pakistan and Qatar in Switzerland, Vance praised the roles played by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, describing their contributions as commendable.
