Pakistan, Sept. 4 -- US Vice President JD Vance has rejected describing the ongoing conflict with Iran as a war. His comments came despite renewed attacks between Washington and Tehran this week. Vance said major US combat operations against Iran had ended. However, he acknowledged that fighting had flared up in some areas. The conflict has now entered its seventh month without a clear diplomatic settlement. Washington and Tehran have also not resumed talks aimed at ending hostilities.
