Pakistan, July 23 -- The US House of Representatives has narrowly approved its version of the Fiscal Year 2027 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), authorising a record $1.15 trillion in military spending amid sharp political divisions over the Iran conflict, defence priorities and US-Israel military cooperation.

The legislation passed by a 216-212 vote, with most Republicans supporting the bill while nearly all Democrats opposed it.
