Pakistan, July 31 -- A US-backed Board of Peace announced that Hamas has agreed to relinquish its weapons under a proposed Gaza peace plan. The agreement also envisages a phased Israeli military withdrawal from the Gaza Strip following the disarmament process.

US President Donald Trump described the development as a "historic agreement," saying it would be implemented in carefully structured phases. According to the Board of Peace, the deal concludes months of negotiations involving the United States, Egypt, Qatar, and Turkiye.
