Pakistan, May 19 -- The United States Department of State has approved a major defence support package for India involving Apache attack helicopter services and equipment, marking another step in deepening military cooperation between the two countries.

According to the State Department, the approved deal covers support services and technical equipment for India's existing Apache fleet, with an estimated value of $198.2 million.
