Pakistan, Oct. 6 -- The United States (US) has approved a $1 billion weapons sale to the United Arab Emirates as Gulf states face continued security threats during the Iran war. The deal includes up to 10,000 guidance sections for Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System rockets.

The US State Department said the sale would strengthen the UAE's ability to respond to current and future threats. It added that the deal would support a strong self-defence capability and improve military cooperation between the UAE and US forces.
