Pakistan, Aug. 17 -- The crew of US aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln is reportedly facing growing mental health concerns. Reports say the prolonged Middle East deployment has increased pressure on sailors.

Arab and US media reports said some personnel allegedly attempted to jump overboard. Families have also raised concerns about food shortages and poor onboard facilities.

The carrier has more than 5,000 personnel and has supported operations against Iran and around the Strait of Hormuz. It left San Diego on November 21, 2025, for an extended deployment.
