They warn that reduced financial support is slowing evidence collection and limiting accountability for thousands of reported cases.

In eastern Ukraine, investigators continue gathering testimony from survivors of alleged abuse during Russian occupation, including accounts of torture, sexual violence, and unlawful detention. However, field researchers say shrinking budgets and staff reductions are making it harder to document evidence before it disappears or becomes legally unusable.
