Pakistan, Sept. 21 -- Russia's ruling United Russia party won a large majority in parliamentary elections held amid Ukrainian drone strikes and cyberattacks. The vote covered all 450 seats in the lower-house State Duma.

With more than 71% of ballots counted, United Russia had secured 57.5% of the vote, according to Russian state media. The Communist Party followed with 14%, while the Liberal Democratic Party recorded 8.7%. Projections indicated United Russia was on course to retain its two-thirds majority.
