Pakistan, Aug. 20 -- Britain summoned Israel's charge d'affaires on Wednesday over a major settlement project in the occupied West Bank. London also demanded an immediate halt to the plan. The move followed Israel's decision to open bids for more than 1,200 housing units. British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband called the project destructive and unacceptable. He warned that it could seriously damage efforts toward a two-state solution.
