Pakistan, Aug. 11 -- Turkey parliament has approved a bill to formally disband the Kurdistan Workers' Party, or PKK. The legislation also offers limited amnesty to some fighters who surrender their weapons. The move marks the Turkish government's first major legislation aimed at ending the decades-long conflict. The bill was debated for nearly 12 hours before lawmakers voted on it.
