Pakistan, May 30 -- US President Donald Trump said he is nearing a final decision on a potential agreement with Iran aimed at ending tensions linked to the ongoing US-Israeli conflict, while Tehran has pushed back against several claims about the proposed deal and insisted that no final agreement has been reached.

Speaking ahead of a high-level meeting in the White House Situation Room on Friday, Trump said discussions with Iran were progressing and suggested that a deal could address key issues including nuclear activities and maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz.
