Pakistan, Sept. 8 -- US presidential Trump envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv. The meeting focused on efforts to end the Russia Ukraine war.

The delegation arrived after holding three hours of closed-door talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. Witkoff said the discussions produced new ideas for a possible peace agreement. However, the talks did not deliver a clear breakthrough. He said meaningful progress had been made and expected a US-backed negotiation schedule soon. A White House official also said further steps could be announced within weeks.
