Pakistan, May 4 -- US President Donald Trump has announced that the United States (US) will an operation to help stranded commercial vessels safely navigate out of the Strait of Hormuz amid ongoing regional tensions.

In a statement shared on social media, Trump said the initiative, named "Project Freedom," would begin on Monday morning in the Middle East. He stated that the operation is intended to assist "neutral and innocent" countries whose ships have been affected by disruptions in the strategically important waterway.
