Pakistan, July 18 -- A transgender was injured in a firing incident that took place within the jurisdiction of Kotwali Police Station in here, police informed on Thursday .

Police said, the incident occurred in the Shaheen Bazaar area. The victim, identified as "Barfi", sustained injuries after being shot. The suspect managed to flee the scene following the attack.

Police have launched an investigation, and efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect.
