Pakistan, Oct. 7 -- The Toshakhana case against former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi has reached a key stage. The prosecution has closed its evidence. The Islamabad court summoned the couple to record their final statements on Wednesday before the verdict. Special Judge Shahrukh Arjumand issued the orders under Section 342 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
The case involves allegations that Khan and Bushra Bibi retained an expensive Bulgari jewellery set gifted by the Saudi royal family. The set included a necklace, earrings, bracelets, and rings.
