Pakistan, Sept. 8 -- Tom Jones has addressed his reported exit from The Voice after spending 13 years as a coach on the ITV singing show. The Welsh singer made clear that he did not choose to leave the programme. He said he still loves the show and values its audience. Jones also revealed that ITV only recently informed him about the decision.

The 86-year-old singer said ITV initially pointed to insurance costs when explaining the change. He later learned that the network also wanted to give the programme a fresh direction.
