Pakistan, July 2 -- Severe thunderstorms disrupted air traffic at Switzerland's Zurich Airport, forcing the cancellation of around 70 flights from Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning. The weather conditions also led to the diversion of more than 30 incoming flights to alternative airports. The disruption significantly affected passenger travel schedules across Europe.

Airport authorities confirmed that thunderstorms impacted operations throughout the night. A spokesperson said flights bound for Zurich were diverted to airports including Stuttgart, Geneva, and Basel. Many passengers were left stranded or faced long waiting times due to the widespread disruptions.
