Pakistan, Oct. 5 -- Security forces killed three terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail (DI) Khan, security sources said Monday. The operation targeted members of what Pakistani authorities call Fitna al-Khawarij. According to the sources, forces launched the operation after receiving intelligence about militant activity in the area. The action was part of ongoing counterterrorism operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the Azm-e-Istehkam framework.
