Pakistan, Aug. 11 -- Three newly appointed judges have taken oath as additional judges of the Islamabad High Court, strengthening the court's judicial bench amid wider appointments across Pakistan's high courts.

Justice Ayaz Shaukat, Justice Umair Majid Malik and Justice Shah Rukh Arjumand took the oath during a ceremony led by Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar. Judges, lawyers and bar representatives attended the ceremony.

Earlier, President Asif Ali Zardari approved the appointment of three additional judges to the Islamabad High Court as part of a wider decision covering several superior courts across the country.
