Pakistan, May 24 -- Thousands of people gathered in central Madrid to protest rapidly increasing housing costs that have made buying or renting homes extremely difficult for many Spanish families and young professionals. Demonstrators marched through the streets carrying banners and chanting slogans demanding affordable housing policies, while expressing frustration over soaring rents and property prices in major cities including Madrid and Barcelona.
