Pakistan, Sept. 19 -- Former Pakistan chief selector Tauseef Ahmed has accused Saqlain Mushtaq of influencing Shadab Khan's selection. Tauseef alleged that Saqlain arranged calls to support his son-in-law's place in Pakistan's team. He made the allegations while discussing Shadab's selection and central contract. Saqlain later rejected the claims and challenged Tauseef to provide evidence.

Tauseef claimed Saqlain focused heavily on Shadab during selection matters. He also alleged that Saqlain used other people to make calls on Shadab's behalf. According to Tauseef, he possesses alleged recordings related to those calls. He questioned how Shadab received a central contract after returning from outside the team.
