Pakistan, April 26 -- A flight operated by Swiss International Air Lines was forced to abort its takeoff from Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi early Sunday after a technical issue occurred with one of the aircraft's engines. The airline confirmed that the incident prompted an immediate safety response and emergency evacuation procedures.

According to the airline, the problem occurred shortly after 1am local time on April 26 while flight LX147 was accelerating on the runway for departure to Zurich. The flight crew quickly halted the takeoff and assessed the situation. Consequently they decided to evacuate passengers as a precaution to ensure safety.
