Pakistan, Aug. 3 -- The death toll from the suicide bombing near Kabal Police Station in Swat has risen to 19. Four more injured victims died during treatment, while authorities continued rescue efforts and investigations into the attack.

The bomber struck on Sunday during a protest against lawlessness outside the police station. According to police, officers attempted to stop and search the suspect before he detonated explosives at the station entrance.
