Pakistan, Aug. 16 -- Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff have received show-cause notices from Maharashtra's Food and Drug Administration over a 2024 Vimal Elaichi advertisement.

The authority has questioned whether the campaign indirectly promotes pan masala, which is prohibited in Maharashtra, despite the advertisement presenting itself as a cardamom product.

The nine-page notices reportedly ask the actors to stop participating in the campaign and remove related promotional content from their official social media accounts.

The three actors have been given 15 days to respond, while the FDA has also sought details about their endorsement agreements, payments, campaign instructions and due diligence.
