SHANGLA, June 2 -- Six children from the same family lost their lives and another was critically injured after the roof of a mud house collapsed in the Rahimabad Bassi area of Alpuri tehsil in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Shangla District on Tuesday morning.

According to officials from Rescue 1122, seven children were trapped under the debris when the roof suddenly gave way while they were sleeping inside the house.

Rescue teams responded immediately after receiving the emergency call and launched a search and rescue operation. The bodies of the children were recovered from the rubble within an hour, while one injured child was pulled out alive and shifted for medical treatment.
