Pakistan, Aug. 12 -- A meeting was held in the office of the Minsiter Home Law and Parliamentary affairs Sindh, Zia-Ul-Hassan Lanjar, to deliberate on the revamping of the arms licensing system. The new system aims to enhance efficiency and transparency, bringing the process in line with best practices and introducing technological advancements in the issuance of arms licences in Sindh Province.

Under the proposed reforms, residents will have the option to convert their current computerised licences into smart card-based licences. The system will also be integrated with the criminal record database, making it nearly impossible for individuals with a criminal acquittal record to obtain an arms licence.
