Pakistan, Aug. 5 -- The Sindh government has approved the launch of a facial recognition-based attendance system for teachers and non-teaching staff in public schools, with implementation set to begin on August 17. The initiative aims to improve transparency, accountability and staff attendance while strengthening monitoring across the province's education sector through the use of digital technology.

The Facial Recognition Attendance Monitoring and Evaluation System (FRAMES) received approval during a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.
