Pakistan, July 17 -- Sindh Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon said that there was a bumper wheat harvest in Punjab and Sindh, however, with the arrival of the crop, profiteers and hoarders bought and stored a large quantity of wheat, due to which the required quantity of wheat could not be stored at the government level.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said that the Sindh government had decided to crack down on this situation, during which one lakh and a half thousand tons of wheat were recovered from hoarders and the hoarders from whom this wheat was recovered were paid government rates.
