Pakistan, July 29 -- Former Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina has said she is determined to return to Bangladesh by December despite fearing she could be killed, arrested, or imprisoned upon her arrival.

In an email interview with AFP, the 78-year-old leader acknowledged the serious risks she may face but insisted that she intends to go back because, according to her, the people of Bangladesh are calling for her return.
"I may be killed. I may be arrested. I may be sent to prison," Hasina said, adding that she is fully aware of the possible consequences but remains committed to returning to her country.
