Pakistan, Sept. 3 -- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved a new Trade Facilitation Board to improve cross-border trade. The board will handle non-tariff issues and develop a roadmap for trade promotion. Shehbaz will personally lead the body, according to the Prime Minister's Office.
The decision came during a meeting on trade facilitation in Islamabad on September 3. The PMO said the board would address non-tariff matters affecting cross-border trade. It will also focus on improving supply chains and monitoring trade facilitation measures.
