Pakistan, Sept. 1 -- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has warned against using water for political purposes or as a tool of pressure. He said water guarantees life and the future of coming generations across the region. He made the remarks while addressing the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in Bishkek.

Shehbaz said the SCO remains an important platform for global peace and stability. He described Pakistan as an active and responsible member of the organisation. He also highlighted the SCO's 25-year journey as an important milestone.
