Pakistan, Sept. 10 -- Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi is set to return to domestic first-class cricket after a long absence. He will represent Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) in the President's Trophy Grade-I.
The four-day tournament begins on September 12, with KRL facing Ghani Glass in Peshawar. The Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed Shaheen's name in KRL's squad on Thursday.
Shaheen's return comes after selectors left him out of Pakistan's recent Test squads. He missed the tours of the West Indies and England. His return could help him strengthen his case for a Test recall.
