Pakistan, Oct. 8 -- The Sindh Environmental Protection (SEPA) has released a detailed report on vehicle inspections carried out in Karachi last month as part of its Vehicular Emission Control campaign aimed at curbing air pollution.
Sindh Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Coastal Development Faisal Ahmed Uqaili, while briefing on the campaign, said 34 vehicles found emitting smoke beyond permissible environmental standards were declared failed, issued red stickers and challans. He said 259 vehicles were inspected during September, of which 225 were declared compliant and issued green stickers.
