Pakistan, Oct. 6 -- A Senate committee has sought complete records concerning the alleged continuation of Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design (PIFD) Vice Chancellor Hina Tayyaba Khalil after her contractual tenure expired. The Senate Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privileges discussed the matter at Parliament House.

The issue was raised by Senator Bushra Anjum Butt over the vice chancellor's failure to attend a meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Federal Education and Professional Training. She alleged that Khalil's contractual tenure ended in December 2025, but she continued to hold the position.
