Pakistan, June 9 -- Pakistan's Senate has returned Rs1.436 billion to the national exchequer after implementing a year-long austerity programme. The savings exceeded the Finance Division's target by 500 percent and represented 15.9 percent of the Senate's annual budget. The achievement highlights efforts to strengthen fiscal discipline amid ongoing economic challenges.
