The Supreme Court on Wednesday once again postponed the bail proceedings of PTI Chairman Imran Khan in the May 9 cases after the special prosecutor fell ill unexpectedly.

Chief Justice Yahya Afridi led a three-member bench, including Justice Shafi Siddiqui and Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb, which was scheduled to hear Khan's bail petitions against Lahore High Court decisions in eight related cases.

At the start of the hearing, the prosecution informed the court that Special Prosecutor Zulfiqar Naqvi had developed food poisoning and could not appear, prompting a request to adjourn the case until next week.
