Pakistan, Aug. 23 -- SC hearing is being sought urgently over the government's review petition concerning Imran Khan's transfer from Adiala Jail. Islamabad Chief Commissioner has asked the Supreme Court to hear the matter soon, citing major constitutional and legal questions.

The petition challenges the Supreme Court's August 18 order directing authorities to move Khan to a private hospital. The court had ordered his medical examination and treatment through a medical panel.

Moreover, the petitioner has raised questions about judicial powers after the 27th Amendment to the Constitution. The plea also refers to Article 175(2) and relevant prison laws while seeking an early hearing.
