Pakistan, May 15 -- Foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan increased by $17 million on a weekly basis, reaching $15.867 billion as of May 8, 2026, the central bank said on Thursday.

According to the SBP, the country's total liquid foreign reserves stood at $21.337 billion during the week under review. Of these, net foreign reserves held by commercial banks amounted to $5.469 billion.

"During the week ended on 8-May-2026, SBP's FX reserves increased by US$ 17 million to US$ 15,867.4 million," the statement added.
